Pair of French Porcelain vasesin the oryantalist style.
Louis Pierre Malpass for (retailer) Baily, Banks and Biddle Philadelphia vases 1832-1870 . Each vases painted and signed Jean- Leon Gerome paints. One of the face of vases painted with a Ottoman women and back side a sence of musk door.
Other vase painted Bashi-Bazouk men (one whose head is turned, demaged head, creazy-head roughly “leaderless” or “disorderly”)was an irregullar soldier of the Ottoman army. They had a reputation for bravery, but also as an undisciplined group, notorious for looting and preying on civilians as a result of a lack of regulation.

Louis Pierre Malpass ın Baily, Banks and Biddle Philadelphia 1832-1870 arası ürettiği çift taraflı Jean Leon Gerome resimlerinin bulunduğu vazolarda Osmanlı genç kadın , Osmanlı Askeri Deli Baş, cami kapı ve avlusu resmedilmiştir. Siparişle üretilen bu vazolar altın, mine süslemeleri, bronz kaideleri ile sıradışı ve eşsiz bir eserdir.
